Dr. Voon Pei Jye, is currently the Head and Consultant Medical Oncologist with Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Hospital Umum Sarawak, Kuching, Sarawak. He studied medicine at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and graduated in 2001. He undertook training in Internal Medicine and obtained his MRCP (UK) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from National University of Singapore in 2007. Dr Voon was later gazetted as Internal Medicine Specialist. Subsequently, he completed his advanced specialist training in Medical Oncology from National University Hospital Singapore in 2012.

He is principal investigator and co-investigator for numerous international multi-centre cancer trials. He is an independent reviewer for Medical Research Ethical Committee (MREC) and also sits in Malaysia Adverse Drug Reaction Committee (MADRAC). In addition, he is the co-opted member of Medical Oncology for National Specialist Registry Malaysia. He also contributed to the National Strategic Plan for Cancer Control Programme 2016-2020.

Marina Chiara Garassino MD, is currently the Chief of the Thoracic Oncology Unit at Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milano. As a head, she lead the strategy for clinical and translational research in advanced and locally advanced NSCLC, mesothelioma and thymic malignancies. Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan is one the most important cancer center in Italy, and one of the most important in Europe.

As a medical oncologist, she has done research in precision medicine and in immuno-oncology. Her main research interests have been: NSCLC, SCLC, mesothelioma and development of biomarkers. She has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications, including publications as first or last author in the Lancet Oncology, JCO, Annals of Oncology, New England Journal of Medicine. She had several presentations at international congresses including ASCO, ESMO, ECCO, WCLC.

Her education includes the degree and further specialization in Medical Oncology at University of Study of Milan (110/110 cum laude) in 1995. She completed her training with a ESMO fellowship in 2009 at Christie's Hospital in Manchester. She achieved a Master Degree in Oncology management at University of Economics “Luigi Bocconi”.

She served as ESMO National Representative for 8 years (2011-2019). She is a member of several ESMO Task forces (Public Policy extended Committee, Press Committee, Publishing Working Group, Women for Oncology; Chair, ESMO National Societies Committee - from 2019).

She’s serving on ESMO, WCLC and ASCO annual congress Lung Cancer Track (2019-2020). She is the founder and president of Women for Oncology Italy.

Dr. Susana Banerjee (MBBS MA PhD FRCP) is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Research Lead for the Gynaecology Unit at The Royal Marsden. She is also Reader in Women’s Cancers at the Institute of Cancer Research. Dr Banerjee specialises in ovarian cancer and the systemic treatment of endometrial and cervical cancers.

Dr. Banerjee has been involved in several national and international specialist groups including the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Gynaecological Cancers Clinical Studies Group, European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Executive Steering Committee for Gynaecological Cancers, and ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology) Congress Faculty. She serves on the ESMO Executive Board. She was the Track Chair for Gynaecological Cancers at ESMO Congress 2018 and Scientific Co-Chair for ESMO Asia 2018. She is an author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in clinical trials and translational research. Dr. Banerjee is UK Chief Investigator and Principal Investigator at The Royal Marsden for multiple national and international clinical trials. Her research interests include individualisation of patient treatment, targeted therapies (including PARP inhibitors) and rare gynaecological cancers.
